Characters were designed to be stretched and exaggerated, adding to the lighthearted tone of the piece. The design also allowed us to mix and match traditional cel and 2d vector based animation depending on the scene.

Part of the concept was to find ways to hide character mouths in each scene. We wanted to maximize the project budget and by hiding mouths we were able to focus our efforts on other parts of the animation. The approach created a fun visual gag running through the piece.
